About South Plymouth Pumpkins
Since 2022, South Plymouth Pumpkins has welcomed the Fayette County community to enjoy the best of fall in Washington Court House, Ohio.
Located on a few acres of the John and Jared Persinger farm, the patch offers a variety of seasonal produce including pumpkins, gourds, squash, corn stalks, and other fall favorites.
There’s plenty to enjoy beyond the produce too — from wagon rides and farm animals to the corn maze, photo opportunities, and seasonal activities

From Our Farm to Your Fall Tradition
South Plymouth Pumpkins began in 2022 on the Persinger family farm.
Since then, we’ve continued growing pumpkins, welcoming families, and adding new ways for visitors to enjoy fall on the farm.
For us, it’s about keeping things simple — good pumpkins, fresh air, family fun, and a place people look forward to visiting year after year.
A Record-Breaking Pumpkin
What started as another giant pumpkin growing season turned into something much bigger.
In 2025, Jared Persinger grew a giant pumpkin right here at South Plymouth Pumpkins that tipped the scales at an incredible 2,505 pounds.
After months of care, patience, and watching it get bigger and bigger, the pumpkin was taken to the Operation Pumpkin Festival in Hamilton, Ohio, where it officially set a new Ohio state record for the heaviest pumpkin grown in the state.
2,505 LBS OHIO STATE RECORD
Growing a 2,505-pound pumpkin takes water, patience... and apparently a whole lot of sunscreen.
We’re pretty proud that one of Ohio’s biggest pumpkin-growing stories started right here at South Plymouth Pumpkins.
